My wife and I had our first date there and it was first class all the way. The chef had a "Maestro" pin on his chest and the rest was history. Totally amazing!
Great food great service
Excellent food and dessert! Extremely friendly staff and service is excellent. There is many tourist so English menu is available! The dessert is the highlight for me.
To expensive
Exceptional quality of food and service. Top notch dining experience. For those with sweet tooth, weekday lunch course includes All-You-Can Eat-dessert-cart, so definitely take advantage of it.
Ukaitei Ginza provided a superb dinner. My friend and I selected the mid-range menu and, although being told that one of the shell fish courses was not available, the restaurant staff was able to replace it with a better option. And then the show began. Seeing that I was taking notes, our chef was replaced by Maestro chef Junichi Taniwaki, who displayed the reason why he has earned his Maestro title. The dinner was magnificent and combined European flavors with Japanese cuisine. It was a feast and we were honored with the opportunity of witnessing a unique Tepanyaki culinary show. The interior decoration was a little bit over the top but it targets another type of audience. Ukatei has set the benchmark in Tepanyaki cuisine and it will definitively ruin the rest of the Tepanyaki restaurants I will visit, as I think it is hard to beat in this field.
Great food, excellent service and nice ambience. Will come back again when going to Tokyo.
very delicious and wonderful place. Beautiful inside and all staffs are very kind. From the starter, until the dessert, everything is perfect .
Amazing food art and lovely food
Good food n good service staff.
Top Food for a good price
A fine dining teppanyaki restaurant with great courses. Restaurant decor and atmosphere is very special for a teppanyaki restaurant. Highly recommended.
Services and decoration are good. The hygiene of the chef serve us need improve a lot. He Kept using the towel holding the fork and shovel to rub his face and hair. Moreover, he put the spoon to taste the sauce and then using it to cook for us without washing, this made my kids dont eat that dishes.Food is ok but not the top notch with the price they charged you. I ordered a maine lobster price at ¥15000 but come out with a small lobster weight below one lbs.
Deserves 5 stars
Might be the best Teppanyaki dinner i have ever had
Very expensive and not worth
Supreme locale for top quality Wagyu cooked teppanyaki style. Service is top notch and staff is unmatched. Coming from NY, I had very high expectations for this meal and they Ukai Tei delivered on every aspect of a fine dining experience. Thank you very much for an amazing experience!
Amazing dining experience both in food, watching the chefs, and service. Most recommended restaurant for important dates and VIP hostings.
Classic teppanaki place in the heart of Ginza. A must when visiting Tokyo. Very expensive.
Superb abalone! A little pricey but classic Ginza high class restaurant
Very classy look and feel, also very expensive. If it wasn't for my wife and her family enjoying it I would rather eat at the food trucks across the road and around the cornor. I honestly don't think it is worth the price. The carrot soup was good but it was mostly overpowered by the metallic taste from the spoon. It was nice that they had french fries for the children. The best part comes near the end with the all you care to eat deserts cart, the raspberry macaron was delightful.
Good food, good ambience, good service.
Amazing food and service
Very good
If you want to try high quality Teppanyaki in Tokyo, this restaurant will be a real good choice. It is located in Ginza, but less noisy and crowd area. Once you enter the door, you’ll find luxurious interior with very gentle services which you can expect from good restaurants. All the servers will help you actively, and chefs cook wonderful foods which will lead you to delicious world of Japanese foods. After a course, you’ll be lead to a calm and comfortable table where you can enjoy lovely desserts. I chose egg custard and my wife tried white wine jelly. Both were amazing. This isn’t the end. You’ll also be able to taste their cakes and cookies. All were so great. I and my wife want to go this restaurant again when we visit Tokyo again.
Top notch Japanese teppanyaki in Ginza. A classy place with excellent service, food and staff. My family made the mistake of being under dressed, however they were very gracious and welcomed us. Business or smart casual is recommended. The food can be ordered as a course or a la carte with your choice of protein which was sourced from various parts of Japan with certificates . The kids had the hamburger steak, which was out of this world, and my wife and I ordered the steak course menu. Beef in Japan is on the buttery/rich side and so portion-wise you may not want to indulge on the larger cut of meat when ordering. You don't have to worry about being hungry because there is plenty of other items in the course menu that is amazing and filling. Overall, two thumbs up and will definitely be coming again. Highly recommended. Note: reservations are required and book through your hotel or credit card concierge service!
Good service and affordable price for lunch. We had a great time here.
stunning decor and exceptional service. food is nearly excellent but i struggled to believe that a single medium-size prawn (stated as market price on menu) would cost me 8500 yen. i think its a rip-off.
Chef are very friendly and food are fresh
Very nice Tebbanyaki restaurant, it is been awarded Michelin 1 star restaurant! Averaged price for each is around ¥30,000 for dinner! Food quality is very good! Sunday closed!
Nicely decorated place with good food and services ! I really like the sukiyaki rice at the end !
This experience felt very exclusive. The place was beautiful, and the steak I got was the best i have ever gotten. We ate there for lunch, which is half price. Totally worth to try.
Very expensive and not friendly service
Very delicious and wonderful place. Beautiful inside and all staffs are very kind. From the starter, until the dessert, everything is perfect place.
Great atmosphere, different from Omotesando Ukai Tei. Still get the same experience and delicious food.
Loved it! Beautiful place! everything is very tasty. Good menu and nice prices!
This was one of my first meals in Tokyo, and boy did I start out with a bang! Top to bottom, it was a true adventure in traditional upscale Japanese dining. Our party of four sat in a private room with the Teppanyaki chef cooking right in front of us. The level 5 champion kobe beef that we had was truly amazing. One of the best things I've ever eaten. After dinner we enjoyed a change of location and were taken into the "dessert room" where we ate our last course while gazing out on a beautiful view of Tokyo.
Followed google reviews and went for dinner here. It is basically a Course dinner and a lot pricier than the three $$$ listed on Google reviews. Decent tepanyaki but not great. The place has a very "old" and stuffy feel to it. Still water brought out cost ¥1,300 evian and was a complete surprise. Overpriced and mediocre food.
Beautiful and classy place. Fantastic service that speaks decent english. Food was amazing. Ingredients were very fresh. I recommend to set the course mean and upgrade to the Matsusaka beef. Best meal of my trip.
Best
This 1-Michelin star experience is underrated - From quality of food, stunning ambience, and warmth and genuine staff, I have been blown away. I will definitely recommend the Japanese set for lunches from Mon-Thu. I can't wait to come back!
Good food and pricey.
We we’re in Ginza yesterday looking for a good restaurant to try Teppanyaki. We came across this jewel which definitely left us with a great experience. They have different course meals and we picked the lunch one which was ¥9,900 + 10% service and didn’t included drinks (it does include tea and coffee for dessert).Everything was really good; We would highlight the pumpkin cream, scallop (amazing), sirloin wagyu (delicious, I just didn’t quiet get why they serve it with so much raw onion... I think it’s not a good complement to it at all) and the pistachio creme brûlée with raspberry sorbet was awesome! The service was great, they are super polite and speak very well english. Definitely pricey but hey you’re in Ginza which is definitely an expensive area, but I felt it was worth the experience, the place is beautiful.Would totally recommend.
Fantastic
Great food. Tepenyaki only
Finally!!! I have been wanting to try for years but due to the number of parties in our group (usually quite large), plus the December high season, it was not easy to get a reservation. Am very pleased with the restaurant. The ambiance, the service and most importantly the food, were flawless from the get go to desserts and the special send off music. Am gushing as I can't wait to return.
First class service and food especially wagu beef and black cod, would highly recommend
Atomsphere is exception, brings you back to the 70s. Came here because of Doctor X. Every dish is quality food and will definitely suggest you seat outside instead of the private room.
No friendly to forign tourists!
Very high end place with amazing internal design. Food is very tasty. Highly recommended
